Funeral For C.R. Archer Held Here

The funeral of Charles R. Archer was held at King's Funeral Parlor Thursday,
November 16, with the Rev. Richard H. Bowling, pastor of Bute Street First Baptist
Church officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. J.N. Fuller. Interment in Calvary
Cemetery.

Mr. Archer, who was 90-years old, was a native of Petersburg, Va., but had lived
here for about 60 years. He was widely known in this city.

Mr. Archer is survived by six sons, Edward R., James P., Walter S., Charles G.,
Richard B., and John T.; and five daughters, Mrs. Ella Saunders, Mrs. Indiana
Knight, Mrs. Florence Wilson, and Misses Cleo and Sarah Archer.

Death Certificate indicates Death Date is November 14, 1938. Burial was November 16,
1938
