NORFOLK - Rebecca A. Archer was born Oct. 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Floyd 
and Mamie Willis Anthony. She passed away Nov. 27, 2006. 
She attended Norfolk public schools where her love for children became apparent. 
She was affectionately called "Aunt Rebecca" by many children of all ages. A 
faithful member of New Calvary Baptist Church, she was involved in many youth 
organizations and was known throughout Virginia for her more than 40 years of 
dedicated service to the Eureka Lodge of Norfolk where she served as director of 
the Eureka Youth. A faithful wife of more than 40 years, she was preceded in 
death by her husband, Richard B. Archer. 
Surviving are her sister, Ernestine Harrison; her two brothers, Luther Anthony 
and Lonell Anthony, all of Norfolk; one aunt, Mildred Day of Scotland Neck, 
N.C.; and many nieces, nephews, god children, relatives and friends. 
A funeral will be today at noon at New Calvary Baptist Church, 850 E. Virginia 
Beach Blvd., with Pastor Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary 
Cemetery, Norfolk. Riddick Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
