She was a daughter of William Stuart Archibald and Mrs. Richard Ames Mapp. She was a native of New York City and had lived in the Norfolk are for at least 50 years. She was an art instructor and was formerly associated with the Children’s Museum in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Charles M. Hodgman of Norfolk and Mrs. David E. Rippetoe of Little Rock S.C.. ten nieces and nephews. The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, where a funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William L. Lumpkin D.D., pastor of Freemason Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends are requested to omit flowers and contribute to the Heart Fund.
