Bolding Armond, 77, of the 800 block of Fremont St., died peacefully Saturday, March 4, 1995, at her residence with her husband at her side. Mrs. Armond was a native of Norfolk and the granddaughter of the late William H. and Mamie C. Butts Walker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute St. She attended Booker T. Washington High School. Music and song were her attributes, and she was called by many of her friends the ``Song Bird of the South.'' Survivors include her husband, James M. Armond III of the home; one daughter, Shirley Bolding of the home; one sister, Evelyn Winslow of Louisville, Kentucky; a loving, dear and devoted aunt, Viola W. Cutler; a special cousin, Marie E. Johnson; and other nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, March 8, 1995, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. James Edwards at Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence.
