Norfolk Virginian Pilot  March 16, 1953
David Jelly Armstrong, 82, husband of Lulie Thum Armstrong, died at a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 4 p.m.  Besides his wife he is survived by a son, David H. 
Armstrong, of Princess Anne County; two grandchildren, Linda Virginia Armstrong 
and David H Armstrong, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Armstrong was a native of Baltimore and had been a resident of Norfolk for 80 
years, residing at 214 West 15th Street.  He was a member of the First 
Presbyterian Church, Charity Lodge No. 10, K. of P.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 
p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
