NORFOLK - Mrs. Lizzie Armstrong of 2814 Marlboro Ave., the widow of John 
Armstrong and a native of Hertford, N.C., died Tuesday in a nursing home.

She was a member of Greater Metropolitan AME Zion Church and its Steward Board 1 
and Lane Memorial Tents 185.

Survivors include a son, George W. Armstrong of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Alice 
Smith, and a brother, Roy Zackary, both of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren; and 
29 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Sunday at 12:45 p.m. in Greater Metropolitan AME Zion 
Church by the Rev. Jackson A. Browne. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with 
Hale Funeral Home in charge.
