VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Alice Victoria Thornton Arnold, 76, the widow of William 
Elliott Arnold and a native of Providence, R.I., died Wednesday in a nursing 
home.
She was retired from Tidewater Distributor Co. after 10 years.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edith C. Hankins of Norfolk and Mrs. Doris 
C. Green of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mrs. R. F. Weller of Rhode Island and 
Mrs. C. F. Burke of New Hampshire; a brother, R. E. Thornton of Florida; four 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, 
Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
