Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday May 23, 1939

William Edward Arrington, aged 84, son of the late Isiah and Mrs. Sarah 
James Arrington, died at the Elks National Home, at Bedford yesterday 
morning.
Mr. Arrington was a former well-known resident of Norfolk and had resided at 
the Elks National Home for several years. He was a charter member of the 
Norfolk Lodge, 38, B. P. O., Elks. He is survived by a niece, Mrs. W. L. 
Bonney of Cleveland, Ohio; a nephew, J. C. King, of Louisville, Ky., a great 
niece, Mrs. J. M. Alexander, of Norfolk, and a great-nephew, J. E. King, of 
Kinston, N. C.
Services will be held in the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
1501 Colonial Avenue, Norfolk, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock, with the 
Rev. W. Taylor Willis, rector of Christ and St. Luke’s Church, officiating. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
