Virginian-Pilot  December 12, 1935
Mrs. Frances Artese, who was in the ninety-ninth year of her age, died last night 
at 9:15 o'clock at the home of her son, Michael Artese, 511 New Jersey Avenue.  
She was born in Italy and had resided in America 39 years, 34 of which she spent 
in Norfolk.  She was the widow of Antonio Artese.

Besides her son, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Louis Agiose, New York; 
Mrs. Mary Pantaleo, Boston; Mrs. Annie Mirabella, New York; and Mrs. Rosa 
Mirabella, Italy.  She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
