Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, April 18, 1990 
Azalee ``Lee'' Arthur, of the 3800 block of Granby St., a cook, died April 16,
1990, in a hospital.

Mrs. Arthur, a native of Darlington County, S.C., had been employed at Peoples
Drug. She was the widow of Cornel Arthur. She was a member and deaconess of
Metropolitan A.M.E.Z. Church.

Survivors include four sisters, Christine Wills of Cleveland, and Rosa Hankins,
Annie B. Stevenson and Garsenia Byrd, all of Timmonsville, S.C., and a grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Metropolitan A.M.E.Z. CHurch
by the Rev. Richard A. Councill. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body
will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Friends may join the family
at the residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
