Virginian-Pilot  December 25, 1983
Chesapeake - Winifred Arthur of 1322 McDonald Road, a native of Hartsville, S.C., 
and a daughter of Elizabeth Dozier, died Friday in a hospital.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Audrey Arthur and Gloria Arthur, both of 
Chesapeake; three sons, Michael Arthur and Johnny Arthur, Jr., both of Chesapeake, 
and Army Cpl. Marcus Arthur, of Johnson Island, Hawaii; three sisters, Mildred 
Burno, of Hartsville, and Marva Burno and Carrie Hughes, both of Norfolk; three 
brothers, Raleigh Burno, of Norfolk, Arthur Lee Burno, of Los Angeles, and Albert 
K. Burno, of Worcester, Mass.; and her stepfather, Gainey Dozier.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be said at noon Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Thomas J. Quinlan.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  A 
Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Graves Funeral Home.  
The family will be at the home of her mother, 2227 Marshall Ave.
