Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, February 3, 2002
Dorris L. ``Dot'' Artis of the 2000 block of Stonehurst St. died Jan. 31, 2002, 
in a local hospital. 

Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of Frank L. Artis and had retired from 
Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mrs. Artis was a longtime member of Second Calvary 
Baptist Church. 

She is survived by a host of relatives and friends. 

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Second Calvary Baptist Church by 
the Rev. Geoffery Guns. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The remains will be 
placed in the church at 10 a.m. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
