Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday January 24, 1940
Mrs. Lena Gray Wright Ashburn, wife of Wallace P. Ashburn, a native of 
Henderson, N.C., and for a number of years a resident of Virginia Beach, 
died at 12:30 o'clock yesterday morning at a local hospital. Besides her 
husband, Wallace P. Ashburn, she is survived by one son, Willard R. Ashburn, 
of Virginia Beach, and three grandchildren. Services will be held at the 
chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, this 
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with the Rev. R.W. Eastman, rector of Galilee 
Episcopal Church, Virginia Beach, of which Mrs. Ashburn was a member, 
officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
