Miles Ashby, 71, died April 21 at his residence, 2406 Masi street.  He was a 
native of Moyock, NC, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lambe Ashby.

Mr. Ashby was a member of Baltimore Union Lodge and Metropolitan A.M.E. 
Church.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Norah Ashby;  one son, Miles 
Ashby, Jr., of New York City;  three daughters, Misses Selena and Blanche 
Ashby, and Mrs. Alma Johnson, all of Norfolk.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 25, at 3:30 p.m., the Rev. 
Richard A. Council conducting.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, with Morning 
Glory Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
