(Pinky) Ashe of 116-11 196th street died in a Brooklyn hospital. A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Alonzo and Mrs. Sadie L. Ashe and the husband of Mrs. Aurora P. Ashe. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Norfolk, and was employed by A. Kline and Co. for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, surviving are a brother, Victor J. Ashe of Norfolk; and two sisters, Mrs. Hallye R. West of Philadelphia and Mrs. Mary A. Moore of Belmont, NC. The body was sent from Phillips Funeral Home to Riddick Funeral Service, Norfolk. A Requiem Mass was conducted in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Norfolk. The Rosary was recited in the funeral home and burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, with Riddick Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
