Norfolk Virginian December 22, 1891
Miss Anna E. Ashley died at the residence of her brother-in-law, Mr. James H. 
Carlow, No. 73 Mariner street, yesterday morning at 6:30 o’clock. The deceased was 
an earnest Christian, a member of the Freemason Street Baptist Church. The funeral 
will take place from residence today at 3 o’clock p.m. Friends and acquaintances 
are invited to be present.
