Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, August 20, 1991 
Carrie Virginia Askew of the 1600 block of Campostella Road, died Aug. 16, 1991,
in her home.

Mrs. Askew was born in Norfolk.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon A. Whitten and Pamela K. Askew, both
of Norfolk, and Anita Coleman of Dahlgren, Va.; two sons, Gerald S. Askew of
Norfolk and Gregory D. Askew of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Mary A. Green of
Chesapeake; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Greater Mount Zion Baptist
Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Donald F. Taylor. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Riddick Funeral
Service. Friends may join the family at the residence.
