Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 25, 1974
Norfolk - Funeral services were held May 17 at Enoch Baptist Church for Mrs.
Beatrice E. Askew of 748  E. 27th St.  Mrs. Askew, the daughter of the late Rev.
Samuel and Mrs. Lucy Conyers, died May 12, in a local hospital.

Born in Nashville, NC, she was the widow of William H. Askew.  She was a member
of the Enoch Baptist Church choir.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Anna B. Richardson of Philadelphia;  Mrs.
Grace M. Stephens and Mrs. Dora L. Chambers, both of Hopewell, VA.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with the Rev. E. C. Walton officiating.
