The funeral of Mrs. Bettie Askew, 58, of 219 East Bute Street, who died at her 
home March 17, was held March 19 at Hale’s Chapel with the Rev. G. A. Blount 
officiating. Born in Lewiston, NC, she had lived here 30 years. Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery.
