Mrs. Kathleen Iola Atherton, aged 20, wife of Elwood J. Atherton and daughter of 
Capt. and Mrs. R. J. Hudgins, a native of Providence, R. I., and a resident of 
Norfolk four years, died yesterday afternoon at 12:15 o'clock at a local hospital. 

Mrs. Atherton resided at 123 Maycox Avenue, Academy Terrace.  Besides her husband 
and parents, she is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Diane Atherton, all of 
Norfolk; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. John A. Dunn; her paternal grandfather, 
John Strobl; five aunts, Mrs. George F. Given, Mrs. William Miner, Mrs. George 
Hill, Miss Helen Strobl and Miss Alice Strobl; five uncles, William, Edward, James 
and Thomas Dunn and Charles and Frank Strobl, all of Providence.

The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
Avenue, to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services Saturday morning 
at 10 o'clock.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
