Virginian Pilot November 25, 1909

The funeral of John H. Atkins will be conducted from his residence in Eighteenth 
street this afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Rev. Chas. Straughan, pastor of the Twelfth 
Street Mission, will officiate.
The deceased died suddenly at his home Tuesday evening at 9:15 o'clock from 
paralysis.  He was a native of North Carolina, but resided here for the past three 
years.  He was 57 years old and is survived by several brothers and sisters.
The interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
