Elderess Frances Arlene King Atkins, 76, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway,
died May 10, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Atkins was born in Mecklenburg County, Va., and was the widow of John L.
Atkins. She was a member and elderess of Bibleway Holiness Church in Chesapeake.

Survivors include a daughter, Frances D. White of Virginia Beach; three sons,
John M. Atkins of Norfolk and Michael L. Atkins and Robert L. Atkins, both of
Virginia Beach; two sisters, Clarestine Darden and Jacqueline Wells; two
brothers, Dr. P.V. King and Russell L. King; 13 grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous others.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Bibleway Holiness Church,
Chesapeake, by Bishop William Faison. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will assemble at
1824 Delaney St., Virginia Beach, the home of Miss Brenda White. Graves Funeral
Home is handling arrangements.
