Atkins, who was killed by an Atlantic Coast Line train at Rodman Heights on the Portsmouth side of Elizabeth River, was held from the funeral apartments of H. D. Oliver, Freemason Street, this city, at 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The service was conducted by Rev. E. P. Miner, assistant rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
