The Virginian Pilot February 3, 1976
Norfolk-Mrs. Ellen Wingfield Atkinson, 85, formerly of 102 Willowwood Drive, 
the widow of Lawrence T. Atkinson Jr. and a native of Hampton, died Monday in 
a hospital.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. George S. Hoover of Hampton and a brother J 
Dunston Wingfield of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, by the 
Rev. James H. Novell of Knox Presbyterian Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments has charge. The family will be at 3512 White Chapel Road, Lafayette 
Shores.
