Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 5, 1923

Mrs. Mary Gresham Atkinson, widow of Lawrence T. Atkinson, died yesterday morning 
at 6:45 o'clock at the residence, 1425 Westover Avenue.  She was a native of 
Virginia and for a number of years was a well known resident of this city.  She is 
survived by a son, Lawrence T. Atkinson; a grandchild, Sally Atkinson; two 
sisters, Mrs. M.L. Maigne and Mrs. Evelyn Goode.  She was a member of St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church.  Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow at 
noon.  The Rev. D.W. Howard, D.D., of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, will officiate. 

Burial will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
