Norfolk - Mrs. Cottie Augson of 953 Virginia Beach Boulevard died Saturday, Aug. 
17, in a hospital.

A native of Belhaven, NC, she was the widow of Joseph Augson and a daughter of 
the late Mrs. Pender Riddick.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Holiness Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Derotha Gilliam and Mrs. Clara Smith of 
Norfolk; a son, Ulysses Augson of Dorchester, MA; a sister, Mrs. Ether Welch of 
Norfolk; 22 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Graves Funeral Chapel. 
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
