A funeral service for Mrs. Bessie Mae Ausby, 47, of 746 Reservoir avenue will be 
held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church on Friday.

The Rev. F. P. Wise will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under 
direction of Hale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ausby died in Norfolk General Hospital on March 20.  A native of Exmore, 
she was the daughter of the late Arthur Ashby and Jennie Ashby, and widow of 
Rufus Ausby.  She lived in Norfolk 22 years and was employed by Jones Warehouse 
for 10 years.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Johnson of Norfolk, Mrs. Pauline 
Bennett of Key West, Fl, and Mrs.Lucille Hutton of Washington;  and five 
brothers, George Ashby of Norfolk, Milton Ashby of Churchland, John Ashby of 
Exmore, Richard Ashby of Baltimore and Levin Ashby of Ft. Knox, KY.
