Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - April 4, 2010
FAIRFAX - Mrs. Beverly "Jean" Austin passed away March 31, 2010. She was the 
wife of William C. Austin; loving mother of Marie Lentz (Dick), Steve Austin 
(Jane), David Austin, Susie Schiffman, Larry Austin (Linda) and her favorite, 
Patty Geier (Dave); and the beloved sister of Hardy Forbes; cherished 
grandmother of 16 and great- grandmother of 16. She is also survived by many 
nieces and nephews.
Jean was born in South Norfolk, Va., to the late William Edward and Vivian 
(Askew) Forbes. She was predeceased by her brother, Dicky Forbes. Jean was the 
best Mom and Grandma ever. Jean was a babysitter for many kids growing up in the 
Fairfax Villa. She was a longtime employee of Commonwealth Land Title Insurance 
Company. She was an avid George Mason basketball fan, and was a Disney World 
fanatic. She never met a stranger, treasured her many friends, and leaves us all 
with many cherished memories.
Everly Funeral Home, 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA 22030, is in charge. Interment 
will be Monday, April 5, at 2:30 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park, 1000 East 
Indian River Road, Norfolk.

NW, Washington, DC 20001 or the George Mason Patriot Club.
