Jack Ayers, a native of Roper, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for 40 years, died yesterday at 5 a.m. at the residence, 804 Norman Ave. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Nellie G. Papa, and one son, William F. Gray, of Norfolk; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, C. H. Lamb, of Portsmouth, and Leonard Lamb, of Mackeys, N.C., and a sister, Mrs. D. Gruben, of Morristown, N.C. Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow at 11 a.m. by the Rev. James F. Burks, pastor of the Bay View Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. DEATHS AYERS, ANNIE ELIZABETH GRAY - At the residence, 804 Norman Ave., Thursday, Jan. 3, 1957, at 5 a.m., Annie Elizabeth Gray, widow of Capt. Jack Ayers, in the 85th year of her age. Services at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Ave., Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
