Before his retirement, he was in the grocery business in Norfolk for 50 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Owen F. Fentress, Mrs. L. Roy Stevenson and Mrs. Robert L. Ferrell; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bonney and Mrs. Victoria Dawber, and one brother, Vasco D. Ayers, all of Norfolk; four granddaughters, Mrs. C.W. Bauch, of Lynchburg; Mrs. E. B. Still, of Richmond, and Miss Cynthia Stevenson and Miss Jo Anne Stevenson, both of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Robert A. Rose, pastor of Christ Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
