Ledger-Dispatch June 10, 1918
Mrs. Adelia M. Babcock, wife of J. L. Babcock, died at 2:50 a.m. today, at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. L. E. Fiske, Little Bay, Norfolk county, aged 77 years. 
She was a lifelong resident of Princess Anne county till a few months ago. She was 
a most estimable lady and had a great many friends in this section. She is 
survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. L. E. Fiske, of Little Bay, and Mrs. 
R. L. James, of Princess Anne, and two sons, B. W. Shelton and V. S. Babcock, both 
of Princess Anne. The funeral takes place at 3 p.m. tomorrow at J. Herbert 
Hollomon’s funeral apartments, 1801 Granby street, Norfolk, Rev. G. B. King, of 
Princess Anne, officiating. Burial in Elmwood.
