Babcock, widow of J. A. Babcock, formerly of Norfolk, who died in the Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, N.C, at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, will be conducted from the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. P. Morris, in Hertford, Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk at 4 o’clock. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. P. F. Sabine, of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. C. P. Morris, of Hertford; one son, Walter B. Babcock, of Jacksonville, Fla., and eight grandchildren. The request was made that no flowers be sent. Mrs. Babcock, who was 83, fell and suffered a hip injury at the home of Mrs. Morris, where she was staying. She was moved to the hospital on Saturday a week ago where her condition gradually grew worse. She was born in New York and, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bradbrook, moved to Norfolk when she was very young and where she married Mr. Babcock, a native of Michigan.
