Bacchus, widow of James W. Bacchus, died at a Portsmouth hospital yesterday morning at 6:15 o’clock. She was widely known in Norfolk, having been a member of Cumberland Street Methodist Church for a number of years. Mrs. Bacchus had made her home for the past four years with her nephew, Fred M. Wilder, of Portsmouth. The body was taken to the funeral apartment of V. H. Smith. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ella J. Wilder, of Portsmouth, and two nephews, E. W. Howell, of Roselle Park, N.J., and Fred M. Wilder. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o’clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
