BACKUS, MARTHA JANE – At the residence, “Edgewater,” Tuesday, April 17, 1928, at 
12 o’clock noon, MARTHA JANE, widow of Virginius L. Backus, in the 74th year of 
her age.
Funeral services at the above residence THURSDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o’clock. Friends 
of the family are invited to attend. Interment private, Elmwood Cemetery.
