BACKUS, T. HERBERT – At a local hospital, Thursday, November 16, 1944, at 4:15 
o’clock p.m., T. HERBERT, son of the late Richard T. and Mrs. Ann Susan Taylor 
Backus, in the 78th year of his age. Services at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial avenue, SATURDAY AFTERNOON at 3:30 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
