A native of Onancock, she lived in this area most of her life, lately at 5620 Virginia Beach Blvd. She was a member of LeKies Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Brock of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. Verna Stant Backus of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. David H. Smith. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
