Virginian Pilot, Friday, Oct. 8, 1937
William Edward Badger - Funeral services for Mr. Badger, whose death occurred in
Newport News Tuesday, were conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro.,
yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock.  The Rev. Bernard S. Via, pastor of Grace
Methodist Church, Newport News, officiated.  There was a large attendance and a
profusion of flowers.  The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies and
pink carnations.

Pallbearers were R. Lamar Brown, Robert F. Brinkley, Eugene R. Brinkley, Jr., W.
D. Twaddle, W. B. Copeland and Stephen L. Copeland.  Burial was in the family
plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
