Virginian Pilot, Wednesday, Oct. 6. 1937
William Edward Badger, aged 38, died in Newport News yesterday afternoon at 4:55
o’clock after an illness of two years.  He was a native of Bethel, NC, and had
been a resident of Norfolk and Portsmouth for more than 15 years prior to going
to Newport News three years ago.  He was the son of the late Hiram Finley and
Mrs. Frances Alinda Carraway Badger and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Abbie
Brinkley Badger, Portsmouth;  one daughter, Abbie Alinda Badger, Portsmouth, and
three sisters, Mrs. H. W. Manning, Brunswick, GA;  Mrs. John. O. Matthews,
Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Mrs. J. L. Matthews, Norfolk.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro.,
Westover Avenue at Manteo Street, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o’clock.  Burial
will be in the family plot in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
