Sister Teresa Baier, aged 78, died yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock at St. 
Vincent's Hospital.  She had served for 58 years at St. Vincent's, her first and 
only mission, and had a large circle of friends in this community, where she was 
widely known.
Sister Teresa was a native of Germany and the daughter of the late John George and 
Mrs. Mary Anne Wehmer Baier.
She is survived by two nieces, Miss Teresa Baier and Mrs. William Esseck, of 
Buffalo, N.Y., and a number of grandnieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at St. Vincent's Hospital Chapel, Friday morning at 
10 o'clock.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
