Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 11, 1945

Mrs. Mabel Vaughan Bailey, 69, wife of Aubrey G. Bailey and daughter of the late 
John N. and Mrs. Annie Lawrence Vaughan, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at 
a local hospital yesterday at 4 p.m. Besides her husband, Aubrey G. Bailey, she 
is survived by a sister, Mrs. Myra Vaughan Friebus, of Norfolk and a number of 
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the residence, 550 Pembroke Avenue Wednesday at 
4 p.m. with the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church, of which Mrs. Bailey was a member, officiating. Interment will 
be private in Elmwood Cemetery.

o’clock p.m., MABEL VAUGHAN, wife of Aubrey G. Bailey, and daughter of the late 
John N. and Annie Lawrence Vaughan, in the 70th year of her age. Funeral 
services at the residence, No. 550 Pembroke Avenue, WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON at 4 
o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, private, 
Elmwood Cemetery.
