Norfolk - George L. Bailey of 604 Maltby avenue, died in a hospital.

A native of Cape Charles, he was a son of the late James and Mrs. Shirley 
Bailey.

He was a World War II veteran and a member of Mt. Olive Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are his stepfather, Alfred Watson, and a son, Vernon Bailey, both of 
Norfolk;  two stepsons, Robert Clarke of Elizabeth, NJ and Gerald Walker of 
Norfolk;  four daughters, Vickie Bailey, Regina Bailey, and Sharah L. Bailey of 
Norfolk, and Jenifer C. Bailey of Elizabeth;  six stepdaughters,  Marion Clarke 
and Phyllis Ann Clarke of Newark, NJ,  Agatha Clark of Elizabeth, Mrs. Phillis 
Lewis and Mrs. Jerlean W. Fields of Norfolk,  and Miss Virginia Bailey of 
Jamaica, NY;  a brother, Alfred J. Watson of Norfolk;  and two sisters, Mrs. 
Louise P. Diggs of Norfolk and Mrs. Elizabeth B. Daniels of Jamaica.

Graves Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
