The Virginian-Pilot, Wednesday, November 1, 1961

NORFOLK - Mrs. Catherine Bailey of 810 Windsor Ave. died Monday night in a 
Norfolk hospital after short illness.

She was a daughter of Davide and Mrs. Josephine Simmons and widow of Ernest 
Bailey. She was born in Williamston, N.C., and lived in Norfolk 50 years.

She was a member of New Central Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Cecil Bailey of New York, and two daughters, Mrs. Carrie 
Walker and Miss Revella Bailey of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Pretlow's Funeral Home.

Additional Comments:
NORFOLK - A funeral service for Mrs. Catherine Bailey of 810 Windsor Ave., who 
died Monday, will be held in Pretlow's Funeral Home Saturday at 3:30 p.m. by the 
Rev. W.B. Westbrook, pastor of New Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in 
Calvary Cemetery. The family will assemble at 911 Leake St.
