The Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 21, 1937


Miss Ida Louise Bailey, aged 49, daughter of Nash T. Bailey and the late Mrs. 
Ida Dozier Bailey, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 10:15 o’clock 
after a short illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. 
Besides her father, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. W.W. Gordon, of Norfolk; 
a brother Charles N. Bailey, of Washington, N.C.; two nieces, Mrs. Gordon 
Atwill and Mrs. Julian Pearson, both of Norfolk, and three nephews, Wesley N. 
Gordon, of Philadelphia, Frank W. Bailey, of Baltimore, and Charles Walton 
Bailey, of Columbia, Pa.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, 
Thirty-Fifth Street at Colonial Avenue, tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock, the 
Rev. W. Rush Loving, pastor of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. 
Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
