Vickie Diane "Slim Bailey" Bailey, 52, of the 2300 block of Grandy Ave., passed 
on Jan. 24, 2003 at Sentara Norfolk General.
Born in Norfolk, she was an environmental service worker with Sentara Nursing 
Center for 12 years. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
She is survived by daughters, Kim Bailey-Stackhouse of Oceanside, Calif., 
Michelle Bailey and Crystal Bailey both of Norfolk; sisters, Jennifer McKenzie 
of Plainfield, N.J., Regina Bailey-Slaughter of Norfolk and Phyllis Futrell of 
Portsmouth; a brother, Gerald Walker of Norfolk; grandchildren, Tyrhee, Kheyon, 
Baby Justus and Baby Morgan; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded 
in death by her mother, Virginia Bailey; father, George Bailey; stepmother, 
Shirley Bailey; sisters, Sarah Montgomery, Agatha Clark, Jean Smith and Phyllis 
Anne-Clark; twin brother, Vernon Bailey; and brother, Robert Clark.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Bethany Baptist Church, 
Chesapeake, by the Rev. Jake Manley Sr. with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The 
Wake will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hale Funeral Home.
