VIRGINIA BEACH - Claude M. Bain Jr., 55, of 210 60th St., a native of Norfolk, 
who lived in Tidewater all his life, died Sunday in a hospital. He was the 
husband of Mrs. Catherine Duvall Bain.
He was shipping agent for the Lavino Co. and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal 
Church, Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, and the Harbor Club.
Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Margaret St. John Bain of Virginia 
Beach; a son, Claude M. Bain III of Norfolk; and a brother, St. John Bain of 
Cincinnati, Ohio.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at noon in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. 
Roger C. Snyder. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road, has charge of 
arrangements. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial donations 
may be made to the building fund of Norfolk General Hospital.
