Evelyn L. Bain, 78, of 8904 Stratford St., a native of Norfolk and the wife of 
Tyrer G. Bain Sr., died Saturday in a hospital.
She was a retired, 22 year employee of Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. and 
was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Other survivors include a son, Tyrer G. Bain Jr. of Henderson, N.C.; a sister, 
Lucille G. Albertson, and a brother Woodrow Godsey, both of Norfolk; two 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk, by the Rev. Robert Watts. Burial will be in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery. The family will be at 7421 Gleneagles Road, Norfolk.
