Martha Ridley Baird, 84, of the 1800 block of Hampton Blvd., a retired file 
clerk, died Oct. 30, 1992, in a hospital. 

Miss Baird was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and had retired from the Norfolk 
Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth. She was a member of First Baptist Church of 
Atlanta. 

Survivors include a sister, Peggy J. Baird of Norfolk. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery by 
the Rev. Donald J. Dunlap. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling 
arrangements.
