NORFOLK - Catherine Baker, 89, passed away March 14, 2010. She was born Oct. 29,
1929. She retired from the naval base in housekeeping. She was a member of Solid
Rock Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Baker. She is survived by a daughter
she raised, Elaine Wilkins; two children she raised, Candice G. Perez (Will) and
Kareem George; and a devoted caretaker, Marjorie Pittman.
A funeral will be held 1 p.m. Friday in Solid Rock Church of Christ Disciples,
1025 Kenton Ave. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Metropolitan
Funeral Service, Granby Chapel, is in charge.
