Ledger-Star February 9, 1920
The funeral of Walter Baker, who died in Roanoke, Va., Thursday, February 5, took 
place at the funeral apartments of H. C. Smith, 308 Bank street, yesterday 
afternoon, Rev. A. L. Franklin, of the Brambleton Avenue Methodist church, 
officiating. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery. There were beautiful floral 
offerings. Mr. Baker was a son of Mrs. W. H. Simmons, 820 Granville avenue. He is 
survived by his widow and two children, of Roanoke.
