Baker was solemnized from the Sacred Heart Catholic church at 11:30 o’clock a.m. yesterday in the presence of a large assemblage of the friends of the deceased. The service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. Father R. A. Drake, during which the hymn, “Lead Kindly Light,” was rendered by Mrs. Stark Sutton, and “Nearer, My God, to Thee,” by Mr. Vincent Smith. There was a profusion of beautiful floral tributes. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Aaron Milhado, Victor Parks, Robert Pegram, W. S. Wilkinson, Joseph McCarrick, Howard Sheild, William Whittle and Robert T. Baldwin.
